Festival dedicated to Frank Zappa (1940-1993)

Mosae Zappa is one of the most leading Frank Zappa events in the Euregional Meuse – Rhine area. Located in the very south of Holland, Mosae Zappa celebrates the music and life of Frank Zappa. Highlight of their annual series of events is the Mosae Zappa Festival wich consists of three days of various bands and other (live) acts on various locations. The (free) pre-events will take place in Heerlen, the main event in the neighboring town Landgraaf.

The 7th edition of Mosae Zappa is coming up at 25, 26 and 27 November 2022.
Mosae Zappa 2022 will take place in Heerlen and Landgraaf, two villages of the sun in Limburg, NL.

Fank Zappa

Frank Vincent Zappa (December 21, 1940 – December 4, 1993) was an American musician, composer, activist and filmmaker. His work is characterized by nonconformity, free-form improvisation, sound experiments, musical virtuosity, and satire of American culture. In a career spanning more than 30 years, Zappa composed rock, pop, jazz, jazz fusion, orchestral and musique concrète works, and produced almost all of the 60-plus albums that he released with his band the Mothers of Invention and as a solo artist. Zappa also directed feature-length films and music videos, and designed album covers.
